Borrego Business Systems is an AI-first consultancy. Almost every system we build has AI working inside it, and we use AI to build those systems faster. Here is exactly where AI shows up in your business — and where we deliberately keep a person in charge.
Where AI works inside your business
We put AI on the repetitive, information-heavy work that quietly eats your team’s day. Six jobs it does well:
Reads and enters
Pulls the details out of emails, PDFs, forms, invoices, and photos and puts them where they belong — so nobody types the same thing twice.
Drafts
Writes the first version of customer updates, quotes, follow-ups, and summaries for a person to review and send.
Sorts and routes
Triages the inbox, requests, and orders, and sends each one to the right person with the context they need.
Spots problems early
Flags work that was done but never billed, pricing that has drifted, schedule conflicts, and jobs that are losing margin.
Answers from your own knowledge
An assistant that knows your procedures, past jobs, and policies, so the answer stops living in one person’s head.
Briefs the owner
Daily and weekly briefings on what moved, what is stuck, and what needs a decision — without anyone building a report.
Where people stay in charge
AI drafts, flags, and prepares. A person approves anything that carries real consequences:
- Pricing, quotes, and contracts
- Payments, refunds, and anything that moves money
- Messages to your customers — unless you choose to automate a routine update
- Hiring, scheduling changes, and decisions about your people
Every AI action is logged, so you can always see what it did and why. Systems start in “draft for approval” mode, and we only automate a step fully once it has earned your trust.
Your data stays yours
Your business data is never used to train AI models. We only use business-grade AI services whose terms say they do not train their models on your data, and access is limited to the people and systems that need it to do your work.
The foundation comes before the AI
AI is only as good as the information it works from. We connect your systems and get the data flowing cleanly first, then add AI where the data is trustworthy. Software can’t fix missing data — so we fix the flow before we automate it.
Built on the tools you already use
We don’t ask you to throw out software that works. Your new system sits on top of what you already run — Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, your accounting, your industry software — and connects it, instead of replacing it.
We build with AI, too
Our own development is AI-accelerated: AI coding agents — Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot — write and test much of the code under close human direction, and every change is reviewed before it reaches you.
